In the beginning, ShowMD was Dr. Blasko with a backpack, helping the California horse show community on the fly. Then she created the ShowMD Mobile Medical Unit. THEN she added the second mobile with XRAY!

ShowMD celebrated the opening of its first permanent clinic location at Desert International Horse Park, to kick off the winter 2024 circuit.

Heading into the summer, we have a new venue build to look forward to, as well as east coast locations for our mobile unit.

The ShowMD Mission

There are two athletes on your team. Dr. Blasko’s mission is to provide an environment and services that prioritize the health and wellness of the human half of the team. Equestrians are notorious for spoiling their horses with every possible prevention, therapy and treatment. It is ShowMD’s mission to encourage and enable equestrian athletes to invest in their own health the same as they do for their equine partners.

The ShowMD Team

The ShowMD Team is led by Dr. Barbara Blasko. Whether at a venue close to home, or on the road, Dr. Blasko’s priority is to staff the ShowMD Clnics with the same medical professionals you are used to seeing elsewhere. At ShowMD, we prioritize a comfortable experience for our patients, continuity of care, and medical staff who are specifically trained to understand the needs, wants, and language of equestrian athletes. When you tell a ShowMD staff member “my horse did a two in the one,” they will know exactly what you mean.
